Did climate change worsen the Southern California fires?
Seven of the state’s 10 largest modern wildfires have occurred in the last 14 years.
In 2015, the top toxicologist for the state of Texas, Michael Honeycutt, was interviewed on Houston Public Radio. At the time, the Environmental Protection Agency was pushing for tighter limits for ozone a type of air pollution that is hazardous for people with asthma and other respiratory diseases.
As federal environmental action lags, states are "filling in the gaps," according to a new analysis. More than one hundred state policies tackling toxics will be considered in 2018.
