Corporate TV news largely ignored the relationship between environmental justice and COVID-19

A Media Matters analysis found that during a four-week period only 7% of the 239 broadcast and cable TV news segments about the disparate death rates from COVID-19 connected them to air pollution or other environmental determinants. None of the 31 segments that aired on broadcast TV news programs made the link.

The moderators posed a total of 85 questions or invitations to speak on a topic, and just six were climate-related.
