Ryan Sassan Babadi, Ph.D., National Center for Environmental Health at the CDC

Dr. Babadi is an applied scientist with expertise in how the environment affects our health. His research activity includes environmental health sciences and epidemiology, and his broad interests include science communication, data science, and the urgent need to address social and environmental health inequities.

He completed an M.P.H at UCLA, a Ph.D. in environmental toxicology at the University of Washington, and a postdoctoral fellowship in environmental reproductive epidemiology at Harvard. He is now a CDC Prevention Effectiveness fellow focused on analytics and modeling at the National Center for Environmental Health, where he work on projects concerning air pollution, climate change and environmental justice.
