Louisville neighborhoods use trees to fend off heart disease

The poets were right after all: Trees have miraculous and unexplored powers.


We're big fans of veteran environmental journalist Jim Bruggers, who gives us yet another reason to take a break and walk the woods. Turns out trees could be more effective than statins in lowering blood cholesterol, a key risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
